Driver in hospital following Colchester crash

A single car crash on Bell Road in Colchester is under investigation.

At roughly 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Essex County OPP, Essex-Windsor EMS, and Essex firefighters responded to Bell Road regarding the collision.

The driver, a 42-year-old Essex man, was transported to the hospital in an ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

Police have closed Bell Road between Gore Road and County Road 50 East in the Colchester area.

The road reopened early Thursday morning.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
