The Erie Shores Health Foundation is asking men in the community to grow their facial care to raise funds for better cancer care at Erie Shores HealthCare.
Last year's campaign raised $32,237.60 toward bringing urology services back to the region.
This year's campaign will go toward enhancing cancer services at the hospital by creating more comfort and increased treatment options for local patients.
“Together, this community has accomplished so much in recent years,” said Penny Bellhouse, Executive Director of Erie Shores Health Foundation. “Now we’re looking ahead, ensuring that the care available at Erie Shores HealthCare continues to meet the needs of families for generations to come. Support for this campaign brings comfort and lifesaving treatment closer to the people who need it most.”
The campaign encourages men in the region to create a fundraising page through the Stache Campaign website and then share their page with friends and family through social media. Campaign organizers also encourage participants to update their growth progress online.
The campaign runs until mid-December.
