Police nab would-be break-and-enter suspect red-handed

Windsor Police officers didn't have to go far to find a suspect in a reported break-and-enter on Walker Road on Tuesday night.

They were called to the place of worship just north of the E.C. Row Expressway around 8:30 p.m., and found the suspect in the vestibule, trying to break through an interior door.

The suspect was arrested, and while taking a 37-year-old man into custody, officers found an incendiary device, in violation of a previous release order.

The man is now charged with break-and-enter at a place other than a dwelling and breach of probation.

Anyone with information about the break-in, or any other crime, can call the Windsor Police Target Base Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4350, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or go to www.catchcrooks.com.
