Five more charged following Brigden armed robbery

Five more Walpole Island residents are facing charges in connection to an armed robbery at a business in Brigden.

On October 9, three people armed with an unspecified weapon entered a business and stole money from a cash register along with other merchandise before fleeing the scene.  Police have not disclosed where the business is located in Brigden.

The OPP recently executed a search warrant at a residence on Walpole Island First Nation in relation to the robbery. Three men and two women were arrested at the home and officers seized a firearm, stolen property, and illegal drugs.

Police said 32-year-old Chistopher Blayne Kiyoshk, 39-year-old Jenelle Nungoonce Kewayosh, 36-year-old Edwin Quenton Wright, 24-year-old Allana Leigh-Ann Henry, and 34-year-old Kyle Wayne Nahdee are all charged with two counts of possession of a narcotic and possession of property obtained by crime.  All five are from Walpole Island.

David Lance Tyler Nahdee, 32, of Walpole Island was initially charged earlier this month with robbery with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of stolen property.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
