Vandals Destroy Goderich Shoreline Inukshuks

Goderich's newest tourist attractions have disappeared as mysteriously as they appeared.

The 100 or so Inukshuks that appeared along the beach a few weeks ago have all been knocked down.

Mayor Kevin Morrison says the Inukshuks were intact around 9:30pm Monday night when the town's Park Superintendent made his patrol of the beach, but had all been knocked down Tuesday morning.

Morrison adds there were some rumours that the town had ordered them knocked down but that is definitely not the case.

Morrison adds he would like to see the people who originally built the Inukshuks to rebuild them, because it was a unique attraction for the town and its residents, as well as visitors.
