A 7 month investigation has resulted in fraud charges for a woman accused of stealing from the Ontario Minor Hockey Association.
York Regional Police allege that 45-year-old Jennifer Robinson, of the Town of Georgina, stole more than 2.4 million dollars from the OMHA, where she has worked for a number of years. Robinson was arrested at her home on Thursday, and a search warrant was executed. It was on November 30th of last year that OMHA officials notified police they had been defrauded of over 1 million dollars, claiming it was by an employee.
Robinson now faces numerous theft and fraud charges. She has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear in a Newmarket courtroom on July 25. The investigation is still active.
