College Boreal is now offering services through the Windsor Youth Centre to help at-risk youth navigate education and career services.
Staff from the college visit the Windsor Youth Centre once a week during drop-in hours to be available for youth aged 16 to 25.
Simon Goulet, Manager of Employment and Settlement Services, said the program is about setting goals and helping individuals meet them.
"It's a long-term case-managed approach to doable careers. What we're trying to do is work on key accelerators to doable careers," said Goulet. "Usually once a client gets in, they will build with the navigator a plan to that doable career. With all the milestones getting there, the project could take a few years."
The college also offers services through the Downtown Mission's enterprises program to help older individuals in the community.
