Anyone heading to the Detroit Ford Fireworks display Monday evening should have a plan in place in case thunderstorms interrupt the fun.
Environment Canada's forecast shows a high possibility of rain and the potential for storms.
"Windsor will be, this evening, not too far from the centre of a low-pressure system, which is not good," said Meteorologist Peter Kimbell. "What that means is that it's going to be cloudy and showers are a definite possibility, especially today, but also this evening."
Kimbell indicated the timing of thunderstorms is hard to predict.
"We can't predict that level of detail at this point, it's too difficult. Showers are a distinct possibility, so is lightning. So go ahead, but bring an umbrella and if there is lightning then obviously you want to seek shelter inside a vehicle or inside a building," said Kimbell.
