Restaurants, shops and bakeries are getting in on the St. Patrick's Day fun throughout the Olde Riverside BIA.
The Thompson House is celebrating its first St. Patrick's Day in business with a party tent, live music, Irish Dancers and Irish fare.
"Our tent holds 400 people. We're not charging cover we're just asking everyone donate $2 or more to the [Downtown] Mission. There will be a live band in the tent, we're going to have beer, wine, and liquor tickets and an Irish menu," says manager Nicole Thompson.
Executive Director of the BIA Bridget Scheuerman says when she heard the pub was going all out she wanted to give other businesses a chance to get involved.
"We wanted all of the businesses to be involved in it as well and give them an opportunity to show what they have to offer. Instead of just having it celebrated in a pub you can also go out and do some shopping," says Scheuerman.
Sweet Revenge Bake Shop and Mrs. Jones Marketplace will have green desserts on special and many store fronts will have St. Patrick's Day themed discounts. For a full list of the businesses taking part click here.
