Habitat for Humanity marks 30 years in Windsor-Essex

The community is invited to help the local Habitat for Humanity mark a milestone.

Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex (HFHWE) is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and the public is asked to help celebrate with a party on Saturday.

"We are proud to be part of this community and grateful for the support of our volunteers, sponsors, ReStore donors, and customers," said Board Chair Justin Fox. "The ReStore, so important to our ability to build, is the perfect location to reflect on the profound impact of this work as we look toward a future overflowing with possibilities to build more and build faster through strategic partnership and the continued support of our community."

The party, which will be held at the Windsor ReStore on Edinborough Street, will feature carnival-style games, prizes, and music. The ReStore will be open, offering a once-a-year opportunity for discounts, and 20 local artisans will participate in a Makers Market.

Staff and volunteers will also compete in an Olympiad, which will include tug-of-war, jousting, and relay races. Birthday cake and other refreshments will be served.

The event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
