Violent robbery sends one person to hospital

Windsor police arrested two suspects and are looking for one more after a violent robbery in Walkerville Thursday morning.

Around 7 a.m. police were called to a house on Lincoln Road for a robbery in progress. Officers found an injured, unconscious man lying outside a garage. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he is still in intensive care.

Investigators learned the victim confronted three people who were allegedly attempting to break into his garage. There was a violent struggle and the victim was assaulted with weapons.

About three hours later, police found and arrested a suspect at Windsor Regional Hospital.

A second suspect was arrested that evening.

A 57-year-old and 35-year-old have been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and break and enter.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 38-year-old Paul Kelly. He's wanted on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and break and enter.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
