One person suffers life threatening injuries in single-vehicle crash

One person was sent to hospital with life threatening injuries sustained during a sing-vehicle crash.

Windsor police were called to the 400 block of Erie Street around 5:45 a.m.

Police allege that the vehicle left the roadway and struck a stationary monument.

The driver and only person in the vehicle was sent to hospital with serious injuries where it was then designated as life-threatening injuries.

They were then sent to Detroit for further treatment.

The roadway was closed for approximately six hours while police investigated the scene, it has since reopened.

Police continue to investigate the crash and is asking anyone with information or dashcam or video surveillance is being asked to contact the traffic department at 519-945-6645 ext. 222 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.
