Windsor police have laid attempted murder charges after a shooting in South Windsor Sunday afternoon.
Around 4:30 p.m. officers were called to a home on Marline Avenue for reports of a man with a gun. When investigators arrived, they found extensive damage to the house and several vehicles.
Officers were told a man had driven a van to the property and intentionally rammed into multiple vehicles before allegedly firing several shots at the home.
A woman inside the home was not injured.
Police began a search for the suspect and found his vehicle engulfed in flames on Baseline Road. The suspect was apprehended nearby.
The 50-year-old man is facing a total of 16 charges including attempted murder, assault, uttering threats, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident.
