Downtown Mission rebrands and expands enterprise program

The Downtown Mission is relaunching its Chari-Tees enterprise program as Mission Promotional Products.

The program prints promotional products and branded merchandise while training "at risk" populations for the job market.

“We are incredibly excited about the future of the Enterprise Programs,” said Rukshini Ponniah-Goulin, Executive Director of The Downtown Mission of Windsor. “The Downtown Mission has created the Enterprise Programs to offer vocational supports to employment-challenged individuals. The Enterprise Programs provide participants facing a variety of personal struggles and barriers with the opportunity to target their career goals and gain work experience.”

The new name connects the business operation to vocational programs.

"Our staff and our supporters and the volunteers do go through the Phoenix Program and the Enterprise program here at the Downtown Mission. We are interconnected and the branding now shows that," said Maurizio Tiberia, Director of Business Operations.

Mission Promotional Produce also launched a new e-commerce website to allow customers to shop from home.

"It's so the public can easily access the different promotional products that we have available. A lot of it is business oriented but we also do customization for special gifts, birthdays, Christmas and what not," said Tiberia.

People are invited to an open house at the Mission on Saturday to view the products and the operation.
