Despite losing 700 people in the local labour force and 200 jobs last month, Windsor's unemployment rate dipped slightly to 8.8 per cent in October.
The unemployment rate in September was 8.9 per cent.
The Labour Participation rate also fell last month from 64.2 per cent to 63.7 per cent, a 0.5 per cent drop.
Ontario's jobless rate didn't change from September, remaining at 6.8 per cent.
Across Canada, the unemployment rate didn't change. It stayed at 6.5 per cent, steady with September's results.
The national economy added 15,000 net positions. However, the employment rate in Canada fell 0.1 per cent, to 60.6.
Business, building, and other support services added another 29,000 positions, but that increase was offset by a drop of 21,000 positions in finance, insurance, real estate, rental and leasing, and public administration.
The national labour participation rate dipped for the fourth straight month. It's down 0.1 per cent to 64.8 per cent.
The total number of hours worked in October rose 0.3 per cent, while average hourly wages increased by 4.9 per cent or $1.68 to $35.76.
This month's Labour Market Survey asked Canadians about job satisfaction and discovered most workers are very satisfied with their work.
Six out of ten employees overall rated their job satisfaction at either 8, 9, or 10 out of 10.
The self-employed reported the highest levels of job satisfaction at 70 per cent, while 60.2 per cent of those in the public service said they liked their job, and in the private sector, 60.1 per cent.
Seventy-one-point-8 per cent of agricultural workers reported very high job satisfaction.
