Windsor police say a man wanted in a brutal beating last week has turned himself in.
Officers were called at around 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, to an alley in the area of Tecumseh Road East near Buckingham Drive. A man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police learned that the victim had been attacked by another man as they left a nearby establishment earlier Thursday morning. Security camera footage obtained by police appeared to show the victim being struck multiple times in the head.
A 34-year-old man surrendered at Windsor police headquarters.
He is charged with aggravated assault, robbery with violence, and theft exceeding $5,000.
The charges have not been proven in court.
The victim remains in intensive care.
