Man robbed at gunpoint

Windsor police arrested an 18-year-old man after a robbery at gunpoint Sunday night.

Police were called to Church Street near Wyandotte Street around 11:30 p.m. A 23-year-old reported he was approached by someone who waved a gun and falsely claimed to be a police officer. He was threatened, and then the suspect took off in the victim's car.

The victim did not have any physical injuries.

The vehicle was found just before midnight after it crashed into a parked car at the intersection of Parent Avenue and Erie Street.

The suspect took off on foot but was eventually arrested down the street. Officers seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun and around 10 grams of cocaine.

The 18-year-old is facing charges of robbery, false representation of a peace officer, and several gun and drug-related charges.
