ENWIN Utilities is getting recognition within its industry for its commitment to operational efficiency, customer service, and community engagement.
The Performance Excellence Award was awarded at the annual Electricity Distributors Awards Gala in Toronto. It acknowledges utility companies that perform exceptionally in occupational health and safety, operations, finance, conservation, and community engagement.
The ceremony was last Monday.
"We are incredibly proud to receive the Performance Excellence Award from the Electricity Distributors Association," said ENWIN President and CEO Gary Rossi. "This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team and our shared commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable utilities to our communities."
Rossi added the award motivates ENWIN to lead the charge in energy evolution.
ENWIN's strategic plan and three pillars are its people strategy, which promotes a high-performance culture and earned the utility a 98 per cent COR 2020 certification score and a 38.5 per cent drop in motor vehicle accidents.
The second pillar involves the use of artificial intelligence for tree trimming, next-generation smart metering, and its self-healing grid project.
The third focuses on sustainability through fleet electrification. ENWIN recently added one of the country's first all-electric bucket trucks.
