The Town of Essex has issued a Request for Expressions of Interest in the recreational development of the Essex Centre Sports Fields.
The request will gather proposals from qualified and interested parties capable of helping the town realize its long-term vision for the sports fields. Up to ten acres of vacant municipal lands are available for recreational purposes, including indoor sports.
"This request for expressions of interest is an important step in shaping the future of our community," said Essex Mayor Sherry Bondy. "We are looking to engage with innovative partners who share our vision for creating high-quality recreational opportunities that serve residents of all ages, support healthy lifestyles, and enhance the long-term vibrancy of Essex."
The future Essex Centre Sports Fields lie on about 70 acres of land at the corner of Hwy. 3 and North Malden Road. The property allows for a range of recreational uses.
The deadline to submit proposals is May 20.
