Playing ENCORE pays off for Windsor engineer

A Windsor man matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers and now has a $100,000 windfall.

Scott Ludschuweit said he's been playing the lottery for decades and always adds ENCORE to his tickets.

Ludschuweit told officials at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation that his wife keeps his tickets for him.

She called him after the February 7th draw to tell him he had won.

"I didn't believe her at first and thought she was kidding around until she sent me a screenshot of the winner screen," said Ludschuweit. "That's when it became real."

He and his wife plan to renovate their kitchen, pay some bills, and invest in the future.

The winning ticket was bought at the Canadian Tire Gas+ on Tecumseh Road East in Windsor.
