Snowsquall warnings in effect across midwestern Ontario

The new week is starting off with a lot of snow on the ground, and more to come.

Snowsquall warnings remain in place across much of midwestern Ontario after a weekend that saw heavy snowfall at times.

Lake effect flurries and snow squalls are expected to continue throughout the day Monday and continue into Tuesday.

"As is common with snow squalls, snowfall amounts will be highly variable. Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Road closures are likely," Environment Canada said.
