Driver of red SUV sought in south Windsor pedestrian crash

Windsor police would like to speak to the driver of a vehicle seen in the area of a pedestrian crash last month in the south end.

It happened on September 17 at around 11 p.m. on Dougall Avenue at Roseland Drive.

Police learned that a vehicle travelling northbound on Dougall hit a pedestrian, but the driver remained on the scene.

The 25-year-old victim remains in the intensive care unit.

Investigators obtained security camera footage of the crash and noticed a red SUV nearby. They want to speak to the driver as a potential witness, as they may have some crucial information.

Anyone with information should call the Windsor police's Collision Reconstruction Unit at (519) 945-9645, ext. 223. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
