Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae has announced nearly $90,000 in funding within Perth County.
The money, according to a press release from Rae's office, is being funnelled through the provincial government's Rural Ontario Development fund. Rae's office says that program involves "a $20 million investment by the province to strengthen local economies, support rural workers and assist communities in planning for long-term growth."
In Perth County, Klomp's Home and Garden is getting just over $8,600 for its Main Greenhouse Roadside Appeal project. Broken Rail Brewing is receiving a little over $300 for equipment and accessibility expansion.
Additionally, Perth County is getting over $70,000 for its tourism wayfinding signange, and the Perth Farmhouse is getting $10,000 for winery diversification for year-round tourism.

"Strong rural communities are built through partnerships that support local businesses, encourage investment, and create new opportunities," said MPP Rae. "This provincial funding will help Perth County and its local businesses build on the great work already underway, strengthen the local economy, and enhance the quality of life that makes our communities such great places to live, work, and visit."
